The brewing and trade company Carlsberg built two big
distributioncenters in Denmark. On the foundation of 23 gantry area robots,
modern and groundbreaking commisioning facilities were created.
The gantry area robots FP100 Omega seen on the fotos depalletize different kinds of beverage packages coming from pallets containing common assorted beverages. One layer above a software generates an optimal order of the beverages for the destination pallet and based on that gives orders to the depalletizing robots. The trading units are then transported via conveyor belts to prestacking units. These supply once again gantry area robots responsible for creating the final pallet going to the customer. Further along the way kegs can be added to the pallets, which is once again done by another gantry area robot.
The delivery by Ro-ber includes, besides the gantry area robots with attached highly flexible grippers, the prestackers. Seen on two pictures to the right are one depalletizing gripper handling cardboard beverage boxes and one tier gripper for beverage crates.
