W. Brandenburg is a meat handling company with a long tradition and mutliple production sites within germany. For a couple of years now it belongs to the Rewe-Group.

The problem of short-time container caching once again - as with other companies handling fresh food - proved to be a space-intensive logistical challenge.

Brandenburg (literally) broke new ground and simply palletized stacked empty containers on the ground. This way a store for different shapes of containers having an extremely high packaging-density was created, which also could be filled and emptied quite rapidly. The production and comissioning areas can thusly, with the use of suitable removal from storage, be supplied with empty containers "to the point".

Included in the delivery of Ro-ber is besides the area gantry system a stacker in the inlet to the robot.

Launch of the system, which was realised under prime contractorship of Flexlink, was September 2004.
