01.10.2011 APTAR Beauty and Home PDF Print E-mail

APTAR Beauty + Home with its worldwide facilities is one of the leading manufacturer of spray and dosing systems for the cosmetic and pharmaceutic industry.Representatives of the APTAR Group in Switzerland are EP Systems SA in Neuchatel and Valois Dispray SA in Mezzovico TI. Having already realized robot-assisted palletising systems at different facilities of the APTAR Group, RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH has now been entrusted with installation of a palletising system at APTAR’s site in Neuchatel.

There will be installed a robot system of the type GENIX FP150ZX, which is equipped with an innovative vertical axis that allows maximum palletising heights despite of low ceiling heights. An additional highlight of this robot system is the fact that goods being supplied from the production line are buffered in the robot working area first of all and are only palletised after completion of a full pallet load. Thus the robot acts as storing machine on the one hand and as palletising machine on the other hand.

The scope of delivery comprises connection to the production line via an extensive carton transport system, including acquisition of data and integration into the logistic periphery, as well as warehouse management software and the pallet transport system.

We are very happy to be asked once again to cooperate with the APTAR Group and are grateful for the confidence APTAR has placed in us.

Amberg, one of the facilities of the Siemens AG, belongs to the Industry Sector. Siemens has been in Amberg for more than 60 years now. IA Control Components and Systems Engineering (IA CE) delivers products for industrial switching technology. The Automation Systems (IA AS) has a leading position worldwide with the control system SIMATIC S7 as well as the operator control and monitoring systems SIMATIC HMI, manufactured in Amberg. The Business Unit BT VL in Amberg develops power circuit breakers for industrial applications, infrastructure and buildings.

Manifold awards over the past years underline the excellent reputation of their products. In 2007, for example, Siemens Electronics Plant Amberg (EWA) won the industrial competition “Best Factory”. Almost at the same time the Appliances Plant Amberg (GWA) won the award in the segment “Complexity” in the competition “Factory of the Year”. Currently, GWA has won the “Bavarian Quality Award 2010”.In the intralogistics division of the Appliances Plant Amberg (GWA) components and subcomponents are being placed in plastic trays and totes of different heights. These can be located on different types of pallets, such as the classic Euro-pallet, steel tray and plastic pallets in half or Euro size.

Due to the high weight of the totes and, at the same time, high performance requirements RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH has now been entrusted with automation of palletising and depalletising with gantry robots.

There will be installed the standard robot series GENIX FP150, in this special case equipped with a telescopic axis. The multifunctional gripper is able to grip totes with sizes of 70 mm up to 240 mm height and a total weight of up to 50 kg. Extensive sensor technology for position identification of the totes as well as recognition of the totes via bar code reader is integrated in the gripper. Also the gripper is able to stack and de-stack the different types of pallets in order to optimise the automation process.

The scope of delivery comprises the extensive pallet transport system as well as the product transport system for totes and trays.

16.09.2011 Culinary specialties by KECK ... PDF Print E-mail

KECK SPEZIALITÄTEN is a company that, since 1988, exclusively produces highly specialized pasta, noodle products and rice for European manufacturers of convenience food and fry-up dishes as well as for starred chefs who make use of state-of-the-art cooking methods.

In 2003 KECK has put into operation its new factory with partly self-developed production lines and an extremely efficient workflow.Already in 2008 RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH delivered and commissioned an automatic palletising system for bagged goods and cartons. After KECK installed a new automatic deep-freeze storage facility for pallets, it was time now for an extension of the palletising system. The existing robot system was supplemented by a second robot of the type series GENIX FP150 with the well-proven gripper for cartons and bagged goods. This robot was integrated into the existing robot frame.

The extension of the system also included a supplementation of the product conveyor system and pallet transport system with high-grade steel roller conveyors and transfer carriages (AGV).After a minimum period of time for reconstruction and putting into operation during the company vacation of KECK the robot system was handed over to the customer on schedule.

Once again we thank KECK for the confidence they have placed in us and for the excellent cooperation.
