Buffering store for baskets
A regional bakery chain with approx. 100 chain stores in Southern Bavaria has most of its stores in front of the cash point area of supermarkets and discount stores.
Due to a constant growth of the company it was necessary to automate shipping logistics. RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH was entrusted to install a buffering store for baskets for four different types of baskets.
Core of the system is the gantry robot system GENIX XP with a length of 35 m and a width of 12 m. The system offers a storing capacity of up to 20,000 totes which can be placed into and removed from stock tailored to requirements. Additionally, the system comprises aligned stackers and destackers for the baskets.
It was a pleasure to realize this gantry robot system in cooperation with the general contractor FlexLink Systems GmbH.
