The linear gantry installed here, with a total length of 52 m, services production lines organised in a row. The robot’s gripper picks up the unmixed polystyrene blocks located at the discharge point in an individual and/or multiple grip, and transfers the products collected along the production lines to a central palletizing centre. This palletizing system consists of a 14 m long area gantry with integrated pallet conveyance equipment and a transverse shuttle.
Thanks to a sophisticated safety concept, it has been possible to retain the gangways to the individual production lines despite the impressive length of the linear gantry.
