With it`s new high-performance piece-picking-cell, RO-BER has introduced a fully automated order picking system for single items with numerous innovative features. The system solution, that can be used in a variety of ways (and for a wide variety of goods) impresses thanks to the smart software with extended functions, such as pick & place, object recognition using artificial intelligence (AI), patented gripping point determination and extremely gentle product handling. The plug & play solution, which is pre-tested in the RO-BER workshop, is easy to transport due to a compact footprint and can be integrated parallel to manuel work stations on the customers site. The existing system periphery can be connected with the cell by the means of conveyors or shuttles / AGVs. 100% product verification is achieved by integrated scan and weighing functions. Methods of the machine learning enable the robot of the cell to gain experience with every pick and learn from them. The implemented, patented pick-point optimization ensures artificial relocation of the gripping point and ensures, that the product barcode is not covered by the gripper. Coupled with the integrated barcode reader optimization, the piece-picking system supports the zero-failure tolerance and continues traceability of the goods. At least a min. of 99.5% of the products (with placement of the code according to global standard 1 specifications) can be read directly in the first attempt. In addition to the pick performance, the fulfillment of the pick rates in the strictly regulated pharmaceutical sector, the RO-BER piece-picking-cell guarantees the best possible relief for employees abd effective and predictable order processing. Depending on size, weight and placing method, the robot can pick up to 1.200 individual items per hour. The independent cell covers two source and three target locations, which are equipped with the latest 2D and 3D vision technology, depending on the task in order to precisely control the robot`s material flow. In addition, the "black-box-scenario" allows independant error handling, without direct interaction with the higher command level WMS/MFS.
