Compact control unit achieved using new drive technology
At FachPack 2016, RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH unveiled its new RO-CX30 control system for its own in-house robot systems. This is now followed by the latest innovation by the robot specialist from Kamen.
Together with Bosch-Rexroth, the drive concept for the tried and tested GENIX series of robots was brought right up to the present day. The result is impressive for various reasons: relocation of the service inverter to near the motor, e.g. enabling the control cabinet for the robot to be reduced greatly in size. With this compact switch cabinet, it is now possible to find a suitable installation location even when space is at a premium.
Of course, the benefits of the RO-CX30 control unit, unveiled just a few months ago, remain in place without any change. NC, PLC & SAFETY are combined in the PC-based control concept and, in combination with the use of ultra-modern bus systems, they enable the rapid and problem-free integration and networking of robots with one another, and in complex overall systems.
Through the latest innovations, RO-BER technology has enabled area and linear gantry robots to transition smoothly into the next generation.
However, it is not only the robots that are best equipped for the future: new system concepts are now doing more than ever before to satisfy customer wishes for a one-stop shop solution for complex systems - for palletizing, stock picking, storage, buffering of stock or handling.
The fact that system solutions of this kind are no longer restricted to the integration of system peripherals such as pallet wrappers, labelling or camera systems is something that RO-BER is going to prove convincingly at this year's LOGIMAT trade fair where it will be showcasing the interaction of a GENIX area gantry robot with a Weasel from the manufacturer SSI-Schäfer.
Visitors to the trade fair can also look forward to the kick-off of the company's new homepage. To coincide with the start of Logimat, the new RO-BER page will go 'live' and shall therefore provide the very latest and comprehensive information about the products and services of RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH.
